Lose the leaks with Leister

Lose the leaks with Leister
March 11, 2026 at 9:00 p.m.

By Roland Beeler and Gregor Studer, Leister.

Leister’s quality assurance system lets you rest easy under a permanently leakproof roof.

Water intrusion on a roof can quickly become an extensive and costly problem. From interior damages like mold to structural issues like rotting, moisture is often a roof’s worst nightmare. It was with this in mind that Leister developed their UNIROOF 700 machine with integrated Leister Quality System Roofing (LQS Roofing).

Leister in a pioneer in the world of automatic roof welding machines and the UNIROOF 700 with LQS Roofing takes roof sealing control and safety to the next level. The LQS system is a two-stage welding support system. It gives you key data both during and after the welding process:

  1. During: As soon as you leave the designated welding parameters during the welding process, the automatic digital welding assistant signals and informs you with an acoustic and optical warning signal. Using a marker, you can check your weld seam immediately after completing the work with the weld seam tester.
  2. After: The LQS function automatically records the relevant welding parameters of temperature, speed and air volume. The data is then presented in a PDF report (an automatic welding report) that contains representations of the parameters as graphs and in tabular form including GPS coordinates to help track your work.

All of this not only helps improve your welding precision, but it also provides reassurance of the quality of your work to your customers.

The value of the UNIROOF 700 with LQS Roofing has been proven time and time again. This system is the first Leister automatic welding machine to be awarded an RAL quality mark for flat roofing systems and services (RAL-GZ 717). The RAL quality mark stands for premium standards in the manufacturing and maintenance of quality flat roofs. And the award of this mark to Leister’s tool is a testament to the UNIROOF 700 with LQS Roofing’s reliable, solid and trustworthy performance.

Further, there are a variety of example projects that have used this tool with the LQS system:
