Improving Lives After Disaster Strikes

Stormseal After Disaster Strikes
April 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

By Stormseal.

When a product’s performance exceeds expectations, customers will want you to come back.

Abereum Roofing & Plumbing provides affordable trades and services to insurers, loss adjusters and insurance builders. The company has built their reputation on risk mitigation and they specialize in roofing, plumbing, combustible cladding, occupational and environmental consulting and hazardous building material services.

Abereum also uses Stormseal to cover damaged roofs until permanent repairs can be made. Here’s what they had to say about the product and Stormseal installer training:

“I teamed up with three other business partners to set up the roof division of Abereum Roofing & Plumbing a short while ago and it’s taken off, mostly thanks to Stormseal,” says Mitchell Clarke. “We started with just two guys, but I’ve taken on another four already to meet the demand, and I’ll be putting eight more through the Stormseal installer training in the next month.

“We put Stormseal on residential and commercial buildings. We’ve been called interstate to help in emergencies – after bad storms, which are happening more often.

“When I saw Stormseal applied to a roof for the first time, I knew it had great potential,” Mitch says. “I used to use tarps like everyone else, but they’re a big headache.

“When people are forced to live under tarps, and the tarps flap all night or tear off in the wind, and rain keeps coming in, it drives them mad. They call their insurer and they just lose it, or they call me and say, ‘I’ve had enough; we can’t live like this.’

“When we put Stormseal on instead, people are over the moon and they recommend us to their neighbors. They also ask us to quote for their re-roofing, because we’ve earned their trust: they know you do good work, so they want you to come back.

“Using Stormseal, you’re avoiding five or six return visits to replace tarps for each property, so you’re saving lots of time and you don’t have to keep buying or hiring more tarps. You use Stormseal once and there’s no more weather damage. It’s definitely more cost-effective than tarps.

“When I talk to insurers, I always recommend Stormseal. When I show them how well it works, they agree it’s better for everyone. We need to get Stormseal out there, on every damaged roof, so no one has to put up with tarps anymore.

“When other builders or roofers are driving past our worksite, they stop because they can see the transformation between tarps and Stormseal straight away. They come and ask us about it, because they can tell it’s a good product.

“Stormseal has been great for our business and it feels great to be helping people, improving their lives after a disaster. Stormseal is the future.”
