How a Revolutionary Roofing Software Company Was Born

The story of Centerpoint Connect and how they developed the ideal workflow driven system built specifically for roofing contractors. 

Today, Centerpoint Connect is a web-based roofing software application that reaches across all devices in your company to form a fully connected workflow-based system; it is like a front-end system to your business that handles lead distribution in your sales processes and notifies and reports on your company's marketing and sales efforts. But have you ever wondered how a robust, flexible, and scalable platform system like this comes about? 

Will Riley came into the roofing software space in 2011 and spent a lot of time working with hundreds of roofing companies across North America. He was lucky enough to be able to deep dive into their businesses, hear what works, listen and give advice. So much of what he did was consulting with contractors on how to implement software, but he didn't know the roofing side of it quite yet. 

Cut to 2017, when he went to go work for a roofing contractor out of Fort Worth, Texas. Will was brought on as director of business development and it was his job to shift the company to a service leading initiative focused on retaining clients. The philosophy was to take care of as many customers as they could, and the sales would be automatic. 

Will spent the first year learning repairs, doing inspections, measuring roofs, selling projects, managing projects, managing customers and everything in between. He learned so much during this period of time and it really felt like the company had a strong, unique business model. They grew from 500k annually in service to over three million, they went from 12 million in revenue to 28 million, in under three years. 

The only problem was they didn't have the software and workflows to run the growing business, and nothing on the market was going to work unless they used multiple software systems.  

That is when he decided to build his own system. Centerpoint was built inside of this roofing company.
