Editor's note: The following is a transcript of a conversation with Trent Cotney of Adams and Reese. You can listen to the interview or read the transcript below.
Emma Richardson: Hi everyone, I'm Emma Richardson for RoofersCoffeeShop.com and I'm here with Trent Cotney of Adams & Reece to talk about our September influencer topic, which is tax policy credits and growth opportunities. Trent, what do you have to say about that?
Trent Cotney: Yeah, so tax credits and incentives and rebates and things of that nature, regardless of whether it's solar renewable energy or coal roofs, whatever it might be, there are a variety of rules and regulations that govern that. So you've got to look about the federal level, and even though that's curtailed some under this current administration, there are still, you know, local and state opportunities available. So my suggestion is as you enter into a market, make sure that you understand what the local city and state requirements are, and what you can offer potential customers in your slide deck or pitch to them as it relates to credits or rebates that are available.
Emma Richardson: Awesome. Well, thank you so much, Trent. That's a great response. We'll catch you again in October.
Trent Cotney: Sounds good.
