Build stronger communities with Habitat for Humanity

Colorado Roofing Association urges members to support active Habitat for Humanity projects through labor, materials or funding. 

Habitat for Humanity builds are underway across Colorado, creating another opportunity for Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) members to support families in need and strengthen the communities they serve. Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity is celebrating its 50th anniversary, having grown from a small initiative in Americus, Georgia to a massive organization bringing accessible housing to all 50 states and 70 countries.  

The roofing industry’s impact is not measured solely by the roofs its professionals install. It can also be seen in the relationships they build and the support they provide beyond the jobsite. Every CRA member who participates in a Habitat for Humanity project reinforces the association’s commitment to community service while demonstrating what the roofing industry means to Colorado. 

CRA members made a meaningful commitment to these projects last year. And this year, the CRA Community Service Committee hopes even more companies will take part. Active projects still have openings, giving contractors, manufacturers and other industry partners an opportunity to contribute in the way that works best for their organizations. 

Companies can support the effort by providing labor, donating materials or contributing funding. Each form of participation helps move a family closer to having a place to call home. 

Members who have not yet joined the effort can begin by exploring the available Project Map. After identifying potential opportunities, companies can complete the Habitat Form to be matched with an appropriate affiliate and project. 

The CRA Community Service Committee also extends its thanks to the companies that have already signed on. Their participation reflects the generosity and community spirit found throughout Colorado’s roofing industry.
