A year of leadership lessons

An upcoming conversation invites women leaders to reflect on their growth and identify priorities for the year ahead. 

Leadership growth often begins with an honest conversation. In the upcoming HERizon peer group forum, participants will look back on their experiences over the past year and explore the lessons, challenges and mindset shifts that have influenced how they lead. 

The conversation will begin with reflection. Participants will consider the most impactful insights they have gained through HERizon, along with the actions or leadership practices they have implemented. They will also examine what challenged their thinking and how those experiences continue to shape their approach to leadership. 

From there, the discussion will turn to personal growth. Members will revisit the leadership goals or challenges they brought to the group and consider how those priorities have evolved. Questions about confidence and limiting beliefs will encourage participants to recognize their progress while sharing practical advice with other women facing similar challenges. 

The forum will also focus on paying that progress forward. Participants will discuss how they are creating opportunities for other women to grow into leadership roles within their organizations and networks. They will also consider the responsibility women leaders have in shaping the future of the roofing industry and how collective action can create a greater impact. 

Looking ahead, members will identify their leadership priorities, goals and opportunities for the next 12 months. They will also recommend future HERizon conversations that could aid in the continued support of women leaders in roofing. 

The session will close by asking each participant to share one word or phrase that captures what they are taking away from HERizon this year before moving into a facilitated, 45- to 60-minute topic discussion.
