A Triple Crown built on the basics

Consistency, communication and strong manufacturer support helped one roofing contractor reach a major CertainTeed milestone. 

At the CertainTeed Business Building Workshop (BBW) in Chicago, WeatherSafe Restoration had something special to celebrate; receiving the CertainTeed Triple Crown Award. During this Roofing Road Trips® conversation, WeatherSafe Restoration's Director of Sales, Rick Vining, reflected on the award, the company’s relationship with CertainTeed and the everyday practices that helped the team reach this achievement. 

For WeatherSafe Restoration, the relationship with CertainTeed has centered on dependable support and execution. Describing what matters most in that partnership, Rick explained, “Really, what it comes down to is execution. Doing what you say you are going to do and following up.” 

The company is also a CertainTeed credentialed contractor and installs the CertainTeed Solstice Shingle and SunStyle in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Rick said offering homeowners products and warranty options through one manufacturer helped make the partnership a logical fit. 

Earning the Triple Crown requires sustained attention to warranties, outstanding customer feedback and service testimonies. Homeowners receive anonymous surveys through CertainTeed, making clear communication and meeting expectations especially important. Reflecting on receiving the award, Rick recalled, “It was a complete surprise. A very humbling surprise. It was great!” 

Rather than changing their approach after the recognition, WeatherSafe plans to continue concentrating on the fundamentals that helped the team reach this point. Looking ahead, Rick emphasized, “If we focus on communication and doing what we're saying we're going to do and deliver and execute on just the basics, success will follow.”
