Karan Patel - Edge Metal Built Around Contractor Needs
In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down with Karan Patel, chief innovation officer at Applied Fabricators (AFAB), to discuss how AFAB is making edge metal easier to order, receive and install.
Family-owned for more than 40 years, AFAB marked a major milestone on October 1 with the launch of its FM Approved portfolio, including two new products. Karan shares how the challenges contractors face every day, including skilled labor shortages, shape AFAB’s product development and how the company delivers on its brand promise: Rapid. Responsive. Reliable.
The conversation highlights StormChaser Gutter, the first FM Approved gutter system with pre-installed internal brackets, and Snap-On EX Coping. Learn how both products reduce components, field decisions and installation complexity while providing tested performance. Karan also shares how AFAB goes beyond supplying materials to support contractors throughout the life of a project.
