The benefits of a strategic hiring partner

The benefits of a strategic hiring partner
July 5, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

By Anna Lockhart.

Bringing a hiring partner to the table can help your business tackle the industry’s staffing struggles head on.

In an episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Megan Ellsworth sat down with Kristin Case of Hi-Peak Staffing Solutions to discuss the vital role strategic hiring partners can play in bringing in the right staff for a roofing company. The need for a reliable source of staff is of high importance today as now, more than ever, industry professionals are feeling the pressures of hiring demands in a strained market. As Kristen shared, there’s a major difference in utilizing traditional recruiters and a strategic hiring partner.

Hi-Peak specializes in providing staffing solutions for the commercial, residential, restoration and waterproofing sectors of the roofing industry. If there’s a need for filling positions within your company, be it internal sales or management, jobsite labor or even C-suite level roles, they’re here to help. Kristin shared, “We have twelve dedicated recruiters across the United States, specialized in finding the best people for filling roles in the roofing industry.”

When it comes to recruiting new hires, some contractors wait until things are dire to find a quick hire to fill the role. This leads to less than adequate employees and runs a risk of likely turnover. With professionals, like strategic partners, who are trained and educated in the process of scouting for the best fit for a role, that risk is minimized substantially. Kristen explained, “A strategic partner is like forecasting, finding your critical needs, asking, ‘What does your 2026 look like or what does Q2, Q3 look like?  What's the most important thing? What’s on the horizon?’ A strategic partner that specializes in this industry is really going to understand the value of when you need to hire someone at the right time and then execute accordingly.”

Removing the last-minute urgency of the typical recruiting methods by predicting needs early and planning accordingly is a primary role that strategic partners play, one that can make the difference between scraping by on small revenue gains or scoring significant market success.
