Strengthen your roofing expertise at the 2025 IIBEC Building Enclosure Symposium

Join colleagues and industry leaders this fall in St. Louis for two days dedicated to elevating roofing knowledge and building enclosure practices.

The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) invites roofing professionals to the 2025 Building Enclosure Symposium (BES) October 26–28 in St. Louis, Missouri. Hosted at the historic St. Louis Union Station Hotel, this in-person event is designed to deliver two days of expert-led education, collaborative discussion and networking opportunities that will expand your roofing and building enclosure expertise.

Roofing education sneak peek

On Monday, October 27, attendees will learn from top experts in an educational session:

• Advances in Education and Evaluations for PVC Single-Ply Roof Membrane Recycling Practices with Richard Krock PE, Jennifer Oblock and Brian Whelan. This program is approved for 1.0 IIBEC CEH and 1.0 AIA LU/HSW, giving participants both knowledge and continuing education credits.

On Tuesday, October 28, roofing education continues with three highly anticipated sessions:

• Finding Balance: The Next Chapter in Low-Slope Roof Design presented by Jason P. Wilen AIA NCARB CDT RRO, approved for 1.0 IIBEC CEH and 1.0 AIA LU/Elective.
• Structural Design for Steep-Slope Roofing Systems with Luke Niezelski PE (MA) and Clayton Brown PE (MA), approved for 1.0 IIBEC CEH and 1.0 AIA LU/HSW.
• Enclosure Rehabilitations: Using a Collaborative and Holistic Process to Maximize Value with Richard Ziegler RRC RRO PE, Amy Huynh PE and Stéphane Hoffman PE, also approved for 1.0 IIBEC CEH and 1.0 AIA LU/HSW.

These are only a sample of the roofing-focused sessions at BES. Attendees will also gain insights on waterproofing, exterior walls and other critical building enclosure topics.

More than education

Beyond the sessions, BES offers valuable networking and industry engagement opportunities. The exhibitor showcase will feature leading companies presenting the latest products and services. In addition, the IIBEC Central States Branch will host a social networking event on Monday at 6:30 PM with drinks and appetizers provided. Please note this is a separate ticketed event not included with the BES registration.
