Day three of the International Roofing Expo (IRE) brought attendees an inside look at what's brewing behind the scenes at Jobba Trade Technologies, a familiar name in roofing technology. Zach Carpenter, a veteran of more than 15 years with the brand, sat down to talk with Lauren White — and hint at what’s coming next.
Jobba, known for its legacy product FCS Roofing Software, first launched the platform in 2008. Since then, it’s built a loyal following, largely thanks to its practical design and adaptability. But as Zach noted, even tried-and-true tools need an upgrade now and then.
“With advancements in technology and a lot more other software coming on the market, our clients have requested new updates, new interfaces, just new functionality,” Zach said. “So, we’re excited about kind of our reskin of the FCS product that’s coming out here in the next six weeks.”
The updated version promises a sleek, modern interface and improved features designed around user feedback. Zach confirmed they’re already showcasing some of the new visuals and functionality in preview clips during the event.
The buzz doesn’t stop at FCS. Jobba’s own proprietary platform is also getting attention, with new releases expected over the coming months. Zach made it clear that the company is focused on staying ahead of the curve.
“We’re just excited to keep bringing cool, innovative products to the industry,” he said.
Beyond the software, Zach expressed the value of face-to-face connection at industry events like IRE. He shared, “Being able to come shake people’s hands, see them in person — it’s just great.”
