Save time, money and hassle with these vent stacks

Tubos Vent Pipe Ventilation
April 4, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

By Jonny Suchor.

Tubos Vent Pipe Extensions offer a quick, reliable method for extending vent stacks.

When you're working on a new roof or reroofing, dealing with roofing vent stacks can be a tedious and labor-intensive task. They must be tall enough to meet code, which says they should stick up at least eight inches above the finished roof. But when you add new insulation during a reroof project, those vents suddenly aren't tall enough anymore. That’s where Tubos comes in.

In this must-watch video by Tubos Vent Pipe Extensions, they offer a simple, yet highly effective alternative for extending vent stacks. After installing the insulation, each vent stack is cut to extend an inch to an inch and a half above the roof’s surface. The Tubos extensions are then measured and cut to the correct, code-compliant height. The membrane is rolled out directly over the shortened vent stacks, and holes are cut around each vent stack for the Tubos extensions to be installed on. Once the Tubos pipe extension is secured, simply flash the vent stack like normal and you’re done. This method saves time and minimizes the risk of errors, as the membrane is secured and each Tubos pipe extension is installed, creating a snug and secure fit.

Tubos' invention makes this whole process a breeze, and the installation is as easy as it sounds. Each vent gets done in about three minutes, and you don't have to worry about water leaking into the roof due to the unique design of Tubos vent stacks.

These Tubos pipe extensions come in a variety of sizes to fit your project needs. Whether installing on cast iron or PVC vent stacks, you can get Tubos in standard sizes of two to five inches. Plus, you can get them delivered right to your job site with your other materials. If you have a roof full of vents and want to save time, money and hassle, Tubos is the way to go.
