RoofersCoffeeShop® Welcomes PALISADE™

PALISADE Welcome Article
March 10, 2022 at 6:00 a.m.

PALISADE products offer an industry-leading, slip-resistant, felt-free and weather-resistant underlayment.

RoofersCoffeeShop®, the award-winning place where the industry meets for technology, information and everyday business, is pleased to welcome PALISADE™ into its community for contractors.

PALISADE™ synthetic roofing underlayment is designed for the widest ranging and toughest steep-slope roofing application challenges, especially in wet or dusty conditions. PALISADE™ is made with STRONGHOLD™ skid-resistant technology, making it one of the most advanced synthetic roofing underlayment's on the market today. The revolutionary product combines several advanced polymer technologies to deliver superior safety, advanced performance and tremendous value to the most demanding roofing contractors.

PALISADE™ SA-HT also features STRONGHOLD™ skid-resistant technology. This self-adhered high-temperature roof underlayment features a KOOL BLUE™ low glare cool surface (8x cooler than felt), six months UV exposure, 250°F HT & 20°F LT adhesive formulation, split poly release film and is tile foam bondable.

With PALISADE products you can expect:

  • Industry leading slip resistance in dry or wet conditions for added safety. STRONGHOLD™ delivers an advanced steep-slope skid resistance by using a highly engineered raised surface profile pattern of soft and resilient rubberized polymer dots which act as grip/anchor points underneath roofing footwear.

  • 100% felt free. PALISADE™ products are made from 100% synthetic lightweight, high strength polymer that is six times lighter and 30 times stronger than 30# felt! Unlike felt paper, this synthetic polymer is unaffected by water absorption, which means it does not support mold growth, lays flatter and you can leave the roof uncovered without the need for tarps or immediate dry in.

  • Weather resistance. PALISADE™ does not become stiff, difficult to unroll or crack in the cold nor does it dry out, crack or leach oils in the heat and sun. There's no need to worry about the jobsite temperature with a service temperature range of -70°F to 300°F.

  • UV resistance. As a synthetic polymer-based underlayment, PALISADE™ features superior heat aging resistance, maintaining its integrity after even six months of exposure to UV rays. This allows for greatly expanded job site scheduling flexibility and reduced concern for underlayment damage and replacement from exposure to the elements.

  • Green building compatible. One single truckload shipment of PALISADE™ synthetic underlayment replaces nine truckloads of 30# tar paper in terms of equivalent roof coverage. Not only is a 10 square roll lighter for easy and fast installation, it helps designers, architects and builders generate LEED™ points and contribute to green building best practices.

Focusing on developing a complete solution for building and construction, IPG products work from the top-down and the outside-in. Their roofing products offer a complete range of synthetic roofing underlayment's that are both lightweight and a durable, providing fast solutions for the extended dry-in requirements and for the long-term protection of the roof.

RoofersCoffeeShop® is proud to welcome PALISADE!
