IIBEC’s mission is to advance the profession of roofing, waterproofing and exterior wall consultants.

IIBEC is a fellowship of building enclosure professionals, actively involved in the industry, who share diverse areas of expertise and a common goal of sustaining the highest standards for education, performance, and professionalism. The organization offers the Registered Roof Consultant (RRC®), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC®), Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC®), and Registered Roof Observer (RRO®) programs to distinguish professionals with proven standards of education, experience, and ethics.

Individuals with all three consultant accreditations (RRC®, RWC®, and REWC®) may apply to be Registered Building Enclosure Consultants (RBEC®). IIBEC’s Consultant members adhere to a strict code of ethics that offers unprejudiced service without affiliation with any product or manufacturer.

The association presents educational programs designed to demystify and explain the practical application of roofing and waterproofing technology and sound building enclosure theory. A monthly journal (Interface), a monthly newsletter, and international, regional, and chapter events provide interactive forums for information exchange and networking.

IIBEC has over 3,600 individual members worldwide and 2,100 active professional registrations spanning roofing, waterproofing and exterior walls.
