Roofer Profile: Jordon Johnson – Goat Roofing & Siding, LLC

Roofer Profile - Jordon Johnson – Goat Roofing and Siding

By Rocky Mountain Snow Guards.

Learn how Rocky Mountain Snow Guard services keep this roofer on the same page with his installers and clients.

Just like the mountain goats his company is named after, Jordon Johnson is a sure-footed, agile climber. Except Jordon finds himself more at home on a rooftop rather than a mountaintop. The new owner of Goat Roofing & Siding, LLC in Idaho has been in the roofing business for a dozen years. Now he’s putting his expertise into growing his own business. One of his first steps? Aligning his company with dependable vendors he’s worked with over the years.

Q: Tell us about the geography you install roofing in and what kind of snow retention systems are needed for your customers.

We are based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. However, most of the work we do is in the cities of Driggs and Victor, Idaho, plus in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We’re installing a good amount of S-5!® ColorGard systems and Blizzard II snow retention on 24 Gauge Standing Seam Snap lock metal panel roofs. Occasionally we’ll have some synthetic shake roof systems and for those we use RG16s. I’ve used these with my past company and find they’re very dependable products.

Q: How often do you use the free snow retention plan services from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards when you’re working on a roofing project?

I’m generally bidding on new construction projects, so I use the free engineering services from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards on basically every project. This helps me find the best system for the project. The layout they provide is very helpful for both the customer and installers to follow and keeps them on the same page.

Q: What brings your company back repeatedly to Rocky Mountain Snow Guards for your snow retention needs?

Living in a heavy snow country we are always trying to provide the best roofing systems for our clients. Snow retention is a huge part of this process. Rocky Mountain Snow Guards products ensure our roofs are safe. In addition, their products help lower the maintenance of the roofs while increasing their longevity. As our company grows, I look forward to working closely with Rocky Mountain Snow Guards to support the snow retention needs of our customers.
