Roof Hugger’s are single-piece, high strength, 16ga., “Z” shaped sub-purlins, specifically punched to allow the ribs of the existing metal panel to pass through the “Z”. This allows a new metal roof to be directly attached to this “Z” for a close-fitting, structurally correct connection, saving time and money.

Roof Hugger produces retrofit sub-purlins for all existing metal roof profiles, allowing reroofing with your choice of any manufacturer’s new metal panel. Wind and snow loadings can be increased, existing purlin strength can be increased, clip attachment spacing adjusted, roof steps removed, and insulation added for increased energy efficiency. This system is ideal for upgrading to new photovoltaic panel systems or other heat recovery cavity mounted “Green Systems”. Roof Huggers are a tested and Florida Product Approved retro-fit system.
