Province™ Slate Earns Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance

This “gold standard” of testing for roofing products is important for roofers and their clients no matter where they live in the country.

Following a rigorous months-long testing process, DaVinci Roofscapes™ has announced that its newest product, Province™ Slate, has achieved the impressive Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance (NOA). By reaching this high level of accomplishment, Province Slate joins every other DaVinci Roofscapes composite roofing product in earning this prestigious certification.

This “gold standard” of testing for roofing products is important for roofers and their clients no matter where they live in the country. Why?

Roof strength that's certified

The Miami-Dade County NOA is the highest testing level in the USA. When DaVinci crafts its composite roofing products, the company makes each piece to meet (and exceed) the tough standards of this testing. That’s so roofers can confidently provide durable roofing materials to their clients, and so homeowners have the peace-of-mind of knowing their home and families are protected from severe weather conditions.

Prepare for changing weather patterns

Today’s changing weather conditions mean that Florida isn’t the only state concerned about hurricanes. Remember Hurricane Lee’s recent track right up the coast all the way to Maine?

Weather patterns are changing. That means homeowners across the U.S. require composite roofing that can handle any type of weather from hurricanes to hail. Roofing products with Miami-Dade County code approvals can stand up to powerful winds in a Nebraska storm just as easily as they can to wind-driven rain in Indiana or severe snowfall in Colorado.

Saving on homeowner insurance

Products that meet Miami-Dade County code requirements are tough. In the case of Province Slate and other DaVinci composite products, so tough that they are Class A fire rated. They stop the spread of fire on a roof and are certified to meet Wildfire-Urban Interface (WUI) requirements.

DaVinci composite roofing is also Class 4 impact rated. Which means that when chunks of hail fall from the sky (or golf balls hit a roof from a nearby golf course), they won’t damage DaVinci roofs. Add in that DaVinci roofs have passed the High Velocity Hurricane Zone: TAS 125 test, for winds up to 180mph, and you have an incredibly strong roof. So strong that many insurance companies offer hefty discounts on yearly homeowners insurance to people who have invested in DaVinci roofs, making their roofers look like heroes.
