Opportunities Abound at SprayFoam Convention 2023

Spray Foam insulation is rising in popularity, and this annual convention is sure to excite industry professionals. 

In a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips, Heidi J. Ellsworth speaks with Rick Duncan, executive director of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA), about the exciting happenings at SprayFoam 2023, the world’s largest tradeshow for the spray foam industry. This convention will take place February 12-15 in Daytona Beach, Florida and is dedicated to all things spray foam. Since spray foam is one of the most energy-efficient methods for home insulation today, it is quickly becoming popular across the U.S. This year’s SprayFoam expo is intended to educate the public about its benefits and provide an excellent networking opportunity for industry professionals. 

The SprayFoam Convention attracts more than 1,500 attendees and over 96 exhibitors. This is a huge educational event focusing on the benefits of Spray Foam. There will be in-depth seminars highlighting its efficiency, compatibility with renewable resources, durability and self-flashing capabilities. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 

PCPs, or professional certification programs will be offered at SprayFoam 2023. “These include exam prep courses and written exams for all eight levels of our individual certification. Keep in mind that we have four levels for roofing and four levels for insulation, and we also have free field exams during those two days to achieve the master level certification in both insulation and roofing,” explains Rick. “We have a total of 45 different breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics such as business, legal, safety, quality, regulations, and government affairs, as well as technical topics on insulation and roofing. Opportunities like this don’t come every day, so don’t hesitate to register! 

Amidst all the learning, there will be other activities as well, giving you plenty of opportunities to network and make connections. It’s a packed schedule starting with day one Rick shares, “We start in the morning with the general session keynote featuring Marcus Sheridan, who's going to be talking about engaging on sales and marketing techniques.” In addition to an opening reception, they will present the National Industry Excellence Award, “a luncheon where we recognize the best spray foam applications in seven different categories,” Rick says. And you won’t want to miss SprayFoam’s annual golf event on the second day. This is your chance to show off your hidden golfing talent and impress your colleagues while having fun!
