Kelly Mayo Excels at Calloway Roofing after Taking the Plunge into a New Career

Calloway Kelly Mayo
March 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

By Cass Jacoby, RCS Reporter.

Young mom takes on new roofing job with so much determination and enthusiasm that she was quickly promoted to sales manager.

When Kelly Mayo joined Calloway Roofing, she was scared of heights. She lived about two hours' drive away from where she would be working, which gave Drew Calloway, owner of Calloway Roofing LLC, pause initially. Drew is a niche and specialized trades contractor in central Florida, who will back up anyone willing to put in the work. He hired Kelly for her initiative but wondered if the job would work out for her. However, Kelly was determined to start a career in roofing sales. She eagerly took on the new career and the long drive all while on a pay-for-performance commission structure.

The young mother rose to the challenges of starting a new career with exemplary courage and responsibility. Kelly emerged from training as a well-rounded roof salesperson and inspector. Among her many assets, she is proven capable of canvassing new business opportunities, performs roof inspections with a forensic approach to documentation and prepares professional proposals for homeowners. Knowledge Transfer LLC may have trained Kelly in the core elements of the job, but the work commitment and punctilious hours are all Kelly.

Kelly has gone above and beyond. So much so, that on March 5 of this year, the company officially announced her as the new Sales Manager for the Orlando, Florida market. The entire staff at Calloway Roofing are tremendously proud of her as she continues to exceed expectations and add to her list of accomplishments. Drew marvels at how he underestimated this young woman who has become his star roof inspector. Kelly has mentioned that she sees herself becoming "a general contractor someday in the future, building my own home." This comes as no surprise for those at Calloway Roofing. She leaves her co-workers speechless save for "great job, Kelly!" as her career continues to grow in roofing.

Calloway is hiring now and you can apply here.
