It’s Time to Boot Your Salespeople out of Your CRM

In a new Roofing Road Trips episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth visits with marketing manager for Leap, Kate Ratcliffe.  The two talk about how Leap is bringing speed and transparency to sales and the power in putting programs like Leap in the hands of salespeople.

“Leap is an iOS-based software. It's an app that allows you to run your entire sales process from the iPad or from your phone. That means we integrate with your CRM,” says Kate explaining Leap.  “We bring your customer data in, and then you're able to just kind of go through that meeting... or the sales appointment... completely virtually or on site but digitally.”

Born out of a desire to make the sales call process better, Leap works and makes life easier for salespeople. A 21st century solution to sales calls, part of what makes this software so effective is that it eliminates any data barriers or variability that will cause tension between the homeowner and the salesperson.

“I believe that the death of your CRM is having sales folks in it. Why? Because your CRM is your data hub, right?” says Kate. “Just like anything, if you have a bunch of people operating in it, data's going to get deleted, data's going to be misinterpreted, and data is going to be put in wrong. It's the level of variability that happens with anything.”

By ensuring that all the information needed for a homeowner to feel confident about their decisions and for a salesperson to deliver on their promises is present in an instant Leap provides an essential component to making the sale: transparency. With clear communication and all the resources your salespeople need for success, making the sale is easy.

“What I love about Leap is it immediately takes your sales rep out of the CRM. They don't need to be there. Why? Because it brings all of that customer data right into Leap, and that's where the sales rep starts his day,” says Kate. “It has a list of the appointments that they just had last night. It's easy for them to navigate, and it pushes the information into Leap, and then we can push it back out...It really wraps it up for them. They have their resources available, no more shuffling with paperwork and all of the brochures.”
