Industry Associations and Manufacturers Provide Helpful Resources to Educate a Young Workforce in the Roofing Industry

RCS Influencer Rudy Gutierrez says that while training and developing young talent can have high upfront costs, it’s worth it to ensure a successful future.

Young talent is important not only to our company but the entire roofing industry. We have recruited young talent for roofing installations and for our internal office support system. We know that the cost of training and developing is high upfront, however, in the near future they will be key and vital to our company’s growth.

We are developing our young talent through mentoring, education and exposure to the roofing industry. We fully expect our young team members to be hands on and involved. We reach out to our manufacturing friends with related products and develop training seminars in conjunction with our in-house training. In addition, we are exposing to young team members to associations, such as, NRCA, WSRA, ICSC and of course, National Women in Roofing.
