Pacific Northwest contractor climbs 42 spots on Roofing Contractor’s Top 100 in two years while earning Best in the PNW honors and recognition as a 2026 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics finalist

Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation is continuing a rapid climb within the roofing and home improvement industry, earning a series of national, regional and consumer-driven honors that reflect the company’s expansion across Washington and Oregon.

In a matter of weeks, Guardian has been recognized as the No. 56 roofing contractor in the nation on Roofing Contractor magazine’s 2026 Top 100 list; earned Gold for Best Gutter Company and Silver for Best Roofing Company in The Seattle Times’ 2026 Best in the PNW awards; and been named a finalist for the 2026 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics.

Together, the recognitions mark another milestone for a locally rooted, independently owned contractor that has steadily expanded its workforce, geographic footprint and service capabilities while remaining focused on customer experience and operational consistency.

Guardian’s rise on the Roofing Contractor Top 100 has been particularly significant. The company entered the ranking at No. 98 in 2024, climbed to No. 74 in 2025 and reached No. 56 nationally in 2026, an improvement of 42 positions in two years.

Guardian is also the highest-ranked roofing contractor headquartered in Washington or Oregon on the 2026 list. “We’re building something nationally significant right here in the Pacific Northwest,” said Mat Rzucidlo, president of Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation. “Our goal has never been to chase rankings. It’s to build a company homeowners trust, employees are proud to work for and communities value. When recognition comes from the industry, from customers and from organizations focused on business ethics, it tells us those priorities are translating as we grow.”

Growth without losing the local connection

Guardian now employs more than 145 team members and serves homeowners across Washington and Oregon. The company has served more than 86,000 homeowners, completed 865 roof replacements in 2025 and conducted more than 10,000 inspections during the year.

Its growth has been supported by continued investments in employee training, technology, field operations, leadership development and infrastructure designed to create a consistent customer experience as the company expands. That customer focus is reflected in Guardian’s 4.8-star Google rating and more than 4,400 customer reviews, along with repeat customers representing roughly one-third of the company’s business.

The recognition from The Seattle Times’ Best in the PNW adds a consumer-driven measure to that growth story. Guardian earned Gold in the gutter company category and Silver in roofing, honors determined through community voting across the Pacific Northwest.

For Guardian, the combination of industry ranking and homeowner recognition is especially meaningful in one of the country’s highly competitive roofing and exterior home-services markets.

Ethics recognition adds another measure of growth

Guardian’s expansion is also being recognized beyond production and revenue metrics. The company was recently selected as a 2026 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics finalist, an honor recognizing businesses that demonstrate strong ethical practices, transparency, trust and responsible relationships with customers, employees and their communities.

Guardian is one of two finalists in Washington in the Large Business category. Winners of the 2026 awards are scheduled to be announced October 29.

“Our growth only matters if the quality and trust grow with it,” Rzucidlo said. “There is a lot of pressure in a growing home-services company to simply do more. We’ve been intentional about building the systems, people and culture that allow us to do more while still being accountable to the individual homeowner.”

Guardian maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and emphasizes documented inspections, homeowner education and transparency throughout the sales and service process.

A different growth model in home services

Guardian’s trajectory comes as consolidation and private-equity investment continue to reshape segments of the residential home-services industry.

Guardian remains locally rooted and independently owned, growing through its operations in Washington and Oregon while maintaining local leadership, community partnerships and an emphasis on developing employees from within the organization.

The company has also continued expanding its community programs alongside its commercial growth.

Through its HALO Project, launched in Washington in 2018, Guardian has donated nine roofing projects representing approximately $200,000 in services to deserving homeowners and community members. In 2026, the company extended the concept into Oregon with the HALO initiative.

The combination of expansion, customer recognition, industry advancement and community investment represents what Guardian leaders describe as a deliberate effort to build a larger home-services organization without abandoning the characteristics that originally helped the company grow.
