FlashCo releases updated ES-1 Compliant Edge Metal profiles

This update represents a major step forward in how FlashCo delivers ES-1 compliant edge metal systems to the market.

FlashCo recently released an update to their ES-1 Compliant Edge Metal product line, which includes 8 new ES-1 compliant profiles. "This update represents a major step forward in how we deliver ES-1 compliant edge metal systems to the market,” says Eric Compton, FlashCo’s technical director. “By providing 3D renders, precise installation guides and editable architectural specifications directly online, we are making it easier than ever for professionals to integrate our profiles into their designs. In addition, roofing contractors have the information they need for installing ES-1 compliant edge metal building perimeters.”

ES-1 Compliant Edge Metal is manufactured in FlashCo’s 10 plant locations throughout the U.S. and is sold in both coated and painted options in a wide range of styles, colors and sizes. All profiles have been tested per the ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1 standard to comply with the International Building Code.

FlashCo’s Coated Edge Metal products are manufactured from 24-gauge G90 galvanized steel sheets, .040" 3003 H14 aluminum sheets or 24-gauge 304 stainless sheets that are coated with a layer of .025" non-reinforced TPO, or PVC membrane can be directly welded to the coated metal, saving contractors valuable time. Coated Edge Metal profiles include drip edge, gravel stop, skirted drip edge and gravel stop, and counterflashings.

FlashCo’s Painted Edge Metal products are manufactured using 24-gauge G90 galvanized steel sheet that is painted. The rich and vibrant painted colors are produced with Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® resins, which provide superior color retention and allow FlashCo to offer non-prorated coating warranties for most applications. Painted Edge Metal profiles include drip edge, gravel stop, fascia and coping.
