Hispanic contractors know that building a legacy takes preparation, knowledge and a strong network behind you. That’s why CertainTeed and SRS joined forces to create Champions of Construction “Campeones de la Construcción”, a program designed to recognize, train, and bring Hispanic contractors together through two of their greatest passions: building and soccer.
The initiative combined professional training and credentialing with the excitement of the world’s biggest soccer tournament. Contractors were invited to spend the day gaining new skills and credentials, followed by a spectacular live watch party, where the venue was transformed into a soccer stadium. There, they could come together with fellow contractors to watch the games, enjoy stadium-like food and drinks, grab branded swag, network and take part in special activities.
To amplify the program and connect with the contractor community, the initiative featured Jason Jiménez, a well-known construction influencer, who invited contractors across different cities to take part in Campeones de la Construcción.
Leveraging the full tournament schedule, from opening day through the final match, Campeones de la Construcción traveled to four cities over five weeks: Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles and Wayne, New Jersey, bringing the experience directly to our Latino contractor communities.
The results speak for themselves:
The experience created new opportunities for contractors while celebrating their talent and dedication.
“Events like these give Latino contractors the opportunity to earn credentials that strengthen their expertise and build greater trust with homeowners, while enjoying a great soccer match and connecting with others in the industry,” said Ana María Pulido, senior manager at CertainTeed.
For SRS, whose purpose is to redefine industry standards and become the preferred distribution partner for professional roofers, landscapers and pool contractors, supporting contractor growth means providing the tools, knowledge and solutions they need to move their businesses forward.
CertainTeed, meanwhile, is driven by a vision to transform the world into a better, more sustainable home through an ever-evolving range of innovative, resilient building solutions.
Campeones de la Construcción brought these missions to life through an experience where contractors could learn, connect and celebrate, all in one place. And this first tour was only the beginning. CertainTeed and SRS are committed to creating more opportunities for years to come!
