Calling All Contractors to Volunteer and Donate for Basic Shelter Program

RCAW Volunteers
July 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

By RCAW.

Help provide a roof to a deserving family by providing labor, materials or time to support this community project.

Each year, The Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW)  joins forces with its members to create the Basic Shelter Program. A way to give back to the community, the basic shelter program works to provide the crew and materials to give away a free roof to a family in need. Now, RCAW is calling on you to help with their 2022 project. RCAW is inviting all local contractors and volunteers who are willing and able to donate their time, materials and labor for a local family in need of a new roof to join them in this project.

The plan is to re-roof this family home in Federal Way sometime in late July or August 2022.  Understanding that these are the busy months for contractors, an alternative for members/non members would be to donate materials and/or make a financial donation to this project.

Please be a vital component of this project. Help this family feel secure in their home once again. Any business who graciously donates to this project will be recognized by RCAW for their time and dedication. RCAW will document every aspect of this project and include it within their 2022 Fall magazine.

Materials needed to complete the project include:

  • 4"X4"X8" Tin Shingle - 26 Gauge
