Are You a Women-Owned Business? Let the World Know It With this Addition to the Google 'My Business Listing

Google has added a custom attribute for a women-owned business that you should add to your listing.

On National Women’s Day Google announced an exciting addition to their Google My Business listing options. They have added a custom attribute for women-led businesses. Below are step by step instructions on how to add this feature to your business!

Step 1: Go to https://business.google.com and login to your verified business listing.

Step 2: Once logged into your account in the left menu click on the “Info” menu option. You will then see all of your businesses information. Scroll down on the Info page until you see a section called “Attributes.”

Step 3: Click on the Attributes pencil to edit this section of the listing. You will then be able to type in “Women Led” into the text field. Click “Apply” and you have now added that you are an official “Women Led” business within Google’s business listing!

Step 4: Follow up and confirm that the Women Led icon displays on your mobile phone when you search your business. Please note we have not seen this icon display on desktop searches at this time.
