An acrylic system built to perform

By Dani Sheehan.

Durable, dependable and designed with high-quality materials, these new products offer a cost-effective alternative to your customers without compromising quality.

Progressive Materials (PM) has made a name for themselves through their commitment to quality materials and proven performance. With the launch of their All-Purpose Acrylic Roof Coatings, they built a better acrylic system from the ground up. Whether you’re repairing, restoring or extending the life of an existing roof, PM’s acrylic system gives you a better way to get the job done.

What makes PM acrylic different?

While many coatings on the market are made with lower-grade raw materials, PM took the opposite approach. Their R&D team developed AC-1200 Roof Coating and AM-400 Acrylic Mastic using some of the highest quality resins and fillers available.

AC-1200 is a water-based acrylic coating that forms a seamless, weather-resistant membrane over the entire roof surface. Available in white or tinted colors, this coating extends the service life of new and existing roof systems while helping building owners cut energy costs. How?

  • Higher solar reflectivity of PM’s white acrylic coating reduces surface temperatures and cooling loads, saving up to $0.50 per square foot in energy use after installation
  • Wide substrate compatibility makes it ideal for use on metal, BUR, modified bitumen, concreate, masonry, SPUF and more
  • No primer required in most cases, reducing labor time and material costs
  • Up to 10-year warranty when applied as part of the complete system

Designed to seal abnormal penetrations and reinforce seams, AM-401 is thick mastic that is easy to apply and made to work seamlessly with AC-1200.

  • Ideal for hand application where sprayers or rollers can’t reach
  • Flexible and durable; perfect for seams, fasteners, penetrations and flashing
  • Same high performance resin system as AC-1200 for complete compatibility
  • Excellent adhesion to common substrates like modified bitumen, metal, single-ply membranes, concrete and more

Together, these products form a comprehensive acrylic system that delivers high-end results with the ease and efficiency you need on the job.

Ask your PM rep about their new acrylic product line. With exceptional support and field-tested performance, they’ve got everything you need to start strong and finish stronger.
