Wildfires in Canada. Too much rain in some areas, drought conditions in other areas. Sweltering temperatures; plunging temperatures. The weather is a hot topic. For this RLW, we’ve gathered roofing experts to talk about how synthetic slate and shake roofing products not only survive, but can thrive, in today’s extreme weather conditions.

Todd Knight from Dynasty Roofing in Texas and Thomas Ice from Storm King in Colorado both work with insurance companies due to severe weather projects. And from Florida, Cody Bates with Florida Specialty Roofing sees a good deal of his business come from storm damage. The panel will talk about the benefits of synthetic roofing and upsell strategies, along with dealing with insurance adjusters to get the job.
