egg Are you advocating saying nothing?? As our country dies the best course in your opinion is silence?? Like most well-trodden paths in life they come with their own suite of cliches. If we don't know what to say we resort to gap-filling platitudes that say how it will get easier in time, just ignore it and it will go away, how you need to keep busy (roofing) and take one day at a time. However, to simply say nothing because you don't know what to say, feel helpless and broaching the subject makes you feel uncomfortable is cowardly in the extreme. Quite simply, get over yourself. I'm interpreting your reply from here. That what I'm reading between the lines and through the metaphors. Did I get it right??? Clarity is more important than agreement . You can fire Obama quick as you please and like it you may, but Donald Trump? DONALD TRUMP????? ROTFLMAO! har har har

I'm for full transparency... how bout we let the country be run like a big Agribusiness ranch. The "Federal" Reserve banks could choose the president. The IMF could choose the vice president. The Joint Chiefs of Staff can run all the departments. Donald can be appointed director of human resources. I'll just pretend that nothing's happening. Keep roofing. Stuff like that.

After seeing him in half a dozen more interviews, I'm now convinced that Trump is running. In the interview I saw today on the Wall Street Journal site, he indicated that he would consider running as an Independent if he thought he could win it. That's smart politics, if I may say so. By declaring that he'd be open to running as an Independent, but doesn't want to hurt the Conservative cause, he's probably bringing most of the Independents into his fold.

The thing I like most about him is that I know where he stands on every issue that is presented to him. I've been waiting 57 years for a straight talking politician and he most definitely will get my vote. Why? Because so far, I've agreed with everyone of his answers!

My biggest fear for this next election cycle was that Romney and Obama were going to spend 18 months dodging every freakin' question and then both proclaim their love for Education, the Military, Cutting Taxes, Balancing the Budget, blah, blah, blah. Now, all of a sudden, we seem to have a real candidate that is talking about "I'm not going to hand the oil over to Iran" and "I wouldn't go into Libya unless we are getting the oil" etc.

I say Trump say in an earlier interview "...when countries went to war and won, they would get all the spoils...". I agree with that. I want a leader to let the other countries know that "If you declare war on us, we'll come in and wipe you out and take everything!". I'm tired of being the world patsy.

Early on in Trump's rumblings, I followed a link to his Trump campaign site and voted that he run. My first choice is Daniels but I don't see him getting any traction. Trump is my first choice right now and I think he would be great for our country. We need leadership and he's willing to lead.

hmm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYQFQ_zERuU Patty If your going to point fingers and accuse please get the word right. You were looking for the term “bloviating,” with regard to politicians talking about oil prices. The definition of the verb bloviate is “to speak verbosely and windily.” In other words, to say nothing much at great length. It is an entirely American word and is not to be found in the Oxford English Dictionary. B) ;) ;) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day

IMHO..... a media-whore with multiple bankruptcies, who's high on flash, low on substance. If we needed an Advertising Czar, I'd vote for him. If he runs it will be for the ego-food.

Right now, I'm hoping Herman Cain runs.

I highly doubt that Trump has any interest at all in running. He already is far too busy with a life that he already loves and he would have to give all that up to stump around the country for the next 18 months making the same boring speech day after day?

I've heard his stump pitch three times already. It's basically a Chinabitch session. I happen to agree with his position regarding China but that doesn't change my opinion about the odds of him running.

Further more, the presidents that win subject themselves to a life of living in a security bubble that would drastically curtail a guy like Trump. I just don't see any scenario that would induce Trump to run.

So, why is he rattling the airwaves with his Chinabitch session? He's a business man and he's trying to inject some common sense into the presidential campaign discussions. I think he'll continue his rant as long as someone will listen but in the end, he'll decide that it's not the right time for him.

Old School, "excepting in words like neighbor and weigh" is part of the rule. I'll let some spelling issues slide, but who cares? I care. Why? Let me put it this way: how many times have you put your heart and soul into doing a roof job the sweet way and had someone say, "As long as it don't leak." Then again when it comes to getting the gist of something, why bother with eating utensils when you can just pick up your plate with one hand and rake it in with the other. Long as it gets into your bowel, right? For Tom Hay I make an exception, but he has earned it with his wit. Some people have learning disabilities with spelling and I respect that.

I think I'll put my coat on inside out and backward and have my buddy button it up for me. I hope he gets the holes and the buttons lined up right, but long as I don't get cold....

Woody's right about Trump. I went out and bought a hard-bound copy of his book The Art of the Deal when it first came out and I was pretty fired up with enthusiasm about him for awhile. Not any more. The irony is I had it up in the attic a few years ago and a rat ate it. Chewed up the binding. I got the rat, threw out the book, but the donald is still out there.

"---Arguing over a few billion when we have a trillion dollar deficit is meaningless." Right on, lanny! Approx. 1/4 of our money goes to interest on the debt. 1/4 and growing. Picture a water buffalo trying to get himself out of quicksand.
