Hey guys! Any of you guys heading to St. Louis? I may head over, but I hate to work as an out of towner. Anyone know any local companies in that area that may need help and are honest? I have crews that can tear off and install around 1000 Square a week. My email is SSRB87@yahoo.com

Thanks, Randy

I am in Indiana and the only storms we have had out of this week long system has been light. Only hail damage around here is up Twill's way :silly:

Tornado sirens going off in town again, the last round is just showing up here.

edit: I just got back to my place and I won't be able to get back out. It's now at 3' water on my road which has about 15 residents. Good thing I can walk to my shop and get down the other side of the hill. I'm afraid the Mississippi is going to wreak some havoc.

About 150 miles

We are a $1-2mil/yr company mostly residential and some commercial. Ran by me and my Dad. He doesn't want any help because he doesn't want his name dragged through the mud for a few bucks, even though that would be nice right now. I can't say I blame him knowing some other roofs. No offense meant to you RandyB, I don't mean to say that there is anything wrong w/ your operation.

We are down to three(from 14) employees since early winter due to a slow down(worst in 10 years), but things were just picking up before the storm. I've got some insurance BS keeping me from employing any more at the moment.

We have only been tarping and doing small repairs because the rain drops have been so close together since last Tuesday. We are tearing off 18sq tomorrow though.

Roof_Dawg.....How big is your guys company? Are you guys doing any roofing yet or just tarping and dealing with adjusters? How far is Warrenton, Mo. from you?

I tarped all day and got soaked twice. I came home at 5pm and got dry, and got two more calls for tarps and rain is all about. We got to the oldest house in this town that had a roof hatch, but it needed to be tarped over. So we go up by ladder and everything went pretty well, except for getting soaked again. Poncho's helped a little but they suck!

Then on the 30min ride home, my Dad and I ran into a funnel cloud!! It may have been an actual tornado, I don't know and I didn't want to find out. I said WHOA@, he stopped and asked which way it was coming, and I said turn this mother around!!! We jumped the median on a four lane highway and went to his uncles about 1/4 mile away. While losing traction due to the wind, we come to his house to see that his lights are off and he's gone! We looked back and the funnel cloud had mostly gone away so we got back on course.

Anyways, the point is that more damage is happening as we speak. And w/ all this rain the homeowners are frantic.

Pardon my ignorance....This is a joke, right?

I don't personally have W/C although I do have $2 million GL...I have a waiver in Indiana for W/C since I am a sole proprietor. I am honestly a 1 man show! If it is too big for me to do, I just pimp it.

The guy I sub to is fully insured and has W/C. They done a 1800 Sq apartment complex a few weeks ago in 10 days....and it was 3 story, 3 tabs. I have worked with them over 10 years, with no problems.

I have never chased storms....but starting to kick it around since my kids are getting older.

Just curious atm, but do you carry your own work comp and GL coverage?

I'm a couple hours from STL and there is quite a bit of damage around here. I've been tarping all week. It would have been worse but there was a big hailstorm a couple years ago in my immediate area where many got new roofs.
