I would personally like to thank Frank and EGG that have alerted me to problems with the RCS being down. EGG even called me in person, (an honor). We all thought that no-one else was posting! Rest assured this is being addressed and no information will be lost.
Three major occurrences has effected this Forum over the years.
First, the accidental deletion of information that was deemed too old - now don't get rid of anything and we pay for more storage.
Second, we got a virus that wiped out ALL of our databases. Unfortunately the virus was dormant in months of backups and we had nothing to go back too. Steve has put as many checks and balances in place that he could to try and prevent it from ever happening again. We get viruses by people submitting forms. So be patient next time you can't log on after being absent for a while. Let me know and I will get you on.
Third, I followed a man that told me that I needed to update my website, I bought into it and all his other business advice and subsequently almost lost everything. The website was barely operational, Steve rebuilt the RCS but I had to fight that guy for a year and a half for custody of it, (he tried to tell the court that the RCS was his idea, but I digress). The site had to sit neglected during the lawsuit but you guys never let it die and I have done my very best the last few years to be a good steward and keep the website up and growing.
In the last month we are experiencing difficulties with our server (which I pay top dollar for), so it looks like I have to move to another company. Rest assured that everything is doubly backed up. I will let everyone know what is happening and when. I worked too hard to keep this website, I am not letting anything happen to it now!
I think of all the things I have ever done in my roofing career being able to host this Forum makes me the proudest.
Thank you everyone for everything.
It is amazing that people take their past customers for granted and focus on new customers.
Check your email.
See?
I told ya.
I was afeared you was just PO'd over my last emails. I got a little butt-hurt when you didn't answer me.

Found Steve - Fixed!
I can't find Steve to fix it!
I am in a good mood now though. The big boss called me from the Server place (they are really very nice). I have one of their "Legacy" servers and they will not confirm or deny that the age of my server is causing the problem but I have been with them for 10 years. Who of you is currently using a 10 year old computer?
I will be getting a brand new server AND saving $200 bucks a month. Something about that really does leave me shaking my head. For top dollar shouldn't they have been keeping me in the best hardware all along, even if they weren't willing to pass along the price break?
There should be a 10 minute downtime in the middle of the night - that's all! We'll see.
Ahem.... it's been 3.5 hours, and that "fixed momentarily" is still not fixed... Lets get with the program here, people.
LOL I hope that helps your mood, Vickie, it's all in fun.
I only know it doesn't work because I was gonna change my sig to include "Vickie is Da'bomb".
Stuff happens. You are doing your best to fix things. Zero complaints here. I'm a mod on another forum, can understand the headache. :)
Thank you Chuck I will look into Go Grid. We will get that account thing fixed momentarily. Every time the site goes down something else clicks off. They are not difficult fixes just hard to find them all. I am trying not to be in a bad mood.
Just tried to check my profile....looks like you still have some major problems in the software....so sad. :(
I'm sorry to hear about all the IT problems you are having. I know how painful that is. If you are looking for solid performance for hosting, I used Go Grid cloud hosting service. Good support and never had any major problems.
