Another job, the Lady was really worried about damage. Azealas everywhere. 8' deep. Covered everything with tarps and plywood. The day hit about 99-102. Every shrub had died and was browned completely! She went nuts!!!!!
All that, and make sure not to leave a tarp over them too long in the summertime! It'll roast them shrubs
We fought the shrubbery on one, Historic, for weeks. Finished and got paid. Owners decided to some other work a month later. Something looked different. All the trees and shrubs were gone! I mentioned it to the owner. She said "If I had known they were in the way, I'd have removed them before you started."

I turn roofs down when they are landscaped to the hilt. For one, the owners usually turn out to be very adamant of their property's looks (every rose, bush, tree 'cataloged') and just isn't worth the aggrevation. If I can't get my dump trailer next to the house, then I don't want the job. Some places you can't even get a ladder near the house.
