David You are right God isn't doing so well these days. The scientific age you refer to I believe is not science but the universities that have become essentially secular (and leftist) seminaries. The agenda of Western universities is to produce (left-wing) secularists, while the universities still claim they have neither a secularist nor a political agenda. It's a lie.

Many Americans my age(28) have no faith in God growing up in a scientific age. I can't say for sure that it wasn't this way 50-200 years ago because I wasn't there. Ben Franklin didn't worship the Bible. I've known great people with and without faith in a god. I am unsure myself. If you act right and do good deeds, you'll hopefully go to the after life, if there is one. 70 virgins? hopefully...

I'd rather not be in a crowd and all of a sudden have a group of them bow towards the middle east. Just as I got nervous seeing a rickety old van w/ 'Faith in Allah' and other Muslim stickers all over parked conspicuously on the curb of a crowded mall area a couple of years ago. If it would have said "I Jesus" I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it.

Muslim's aren't ruining America(yet), tv and materialism have already crippled us.

Seems to me America was founded to be a free country. Now some want to only let people in that think like they do. Because a small percentage of Muslims are radicals some want to get rid of all of them. What about the small percentage of Christians who blow up buildings, protest at funerals, kill doctors. Does that make all Christians radicals? We could prevent alot of wars and needless killing if some people could just accept other people have their own opinions and stop hating others because they don't worship like we do. If our President is a "closet Muslim" then he sure isn't a good one. Nobody has reported that he kneels to Mecca three times a day (and with the press coverage he receives someone would have caught him by now) He enjoys a beer every so often, And the man put his hand on a Bible to take the oath of office. I think the man got his name from his parents, he didn't pick it himself. If we were still fighting the German's some people wouldn't be upset that his name reminds them of osama, but would call him a natzi if his name was Hiller.
