That's what I'm blaming it on anyways....30 years of roofing.
On November 26, I was sparring, went for underhooks to control my opponent, ripped apart my left shoulder this time. Another surgery is in the works.
it wasn't the MMA that did it, it was all the roofing I've done.
I guess winter is a nice time to get it done. I figure I'll do my taxes while I'm healing.
ugh.
Hey, I had my right one done a few years ago. I am in great shape and yes that does help a lot, when my previous one was done, I was back on the jobsite in 5 days....taking it easy of course. last time it was 2 tendons totally torn and one half tear.
this time they're not sure but think my Labral cartilage has been torn also.
I think my left will be much easier on me that having my right shoulder and arm worked on. At least now I know whats coming up.
Good luck with yours.
Copy-Cat! B) I had my left rotator cup torn out and put back together some years ago. Tore my right one out Fri. in a short fall. One armed roofing is awkward and scary at times. I'll get an update tomorrow. I've already started therapy since I still have the bands and instructions. Doing it heavily pre-surgery cuts weeks off the healing process, though it'll stay tender weaker for some time.
Get well soon. :)
