Here's how to do a valley in Slate if you want it weaved.
Just one of many techniques in the 'other' Slate Bible. :)
The ones that I seen were asphalt however I could understand the use of wood and thatch, Peter now Peter1 used to post some of his work with thatch roofing it was quite interesting, then of course we have the Seminole Indians who have a lock on Southern Florida weaved roofing perhaps their thatch roofing is different, circle the wagons the government is giving something away lol
I did a wave roof once. The home owner wanted the roof to look crooked and saggy to match the old barn it was built onto. I just through junk like pieces of wood and scraps all over the roof and just roofed over them. it matched the old roof perfectly and the owner just loved it.
This was the project. The roof on the end. I don't have a pic of the finished roof that I can find.
Has anyone ever seen the wave style roofing most of the ones that I have seen have been on the West Coast, however one of the largest contractor lives in Florida. I do not know them only of their work B)
I have never seen that before! It's weird as a football bat. But I don't do slate so I know NOTTA!
