Perimeter edge Metal - Pre-assembled vs Make your own. What are you doing as a commercial contractor?

MetalDirect

2003 IBC section 1504.5 says ES-1 compliant edge metal systems are required.  If you are doing it any other way you will be held responsible for the roof failure. There are no "arguments" for either way, its code required.  IIBEC consults are aware and are looking for this.  Be smart....install your roof system per the building code.

I've heard a lot of arguments for pre-assembled roof edge systems, since they are easy to install.

We use both, but depends on the job.  I would say we are about 95% custom made
