Hey guys. Been awhile. I hope you are all having a great summer.
This morning I got a letter in the mail and it made me wonder about how contractors that don't offer insurance programs will be effected. The cost of not having health insurance is too high for you to ignore. Well, see for yourself...
These letters are specifically directed at veterans but the information applies to all of you. Just wanted to put a bird in your ear so you have ample time to think about it and pivot accordingly. Good luck!
I checked almost every agent in the area over the last couple of years. They either wouldn't respond, or give me a rate 47-54%. I didn't even have any claims at that point, now I have two.
I called Amerisafe, thanks for the heads up. Sounds like they will do an inspection. Sounds like they might do an osha type inspection. Lets just say ropes are still not as common as they should be in this area. Other than myself, of course, NONE of the locals around here are wearing them. That includes the more respectable guys too.
47.55 percent - Same as private carrier. IL sucks for WC.

I just swapped WC insurance to the state pool yesterday. After dropping 25% of my projected total premium, she asks "is there anything else I can do for you David?".
No Please!
We both laughed.
I'm gonna just wait until I fall off the roof and then stop and purchase some insurance on the way to the hospital.
:cheer:
