I have been getting a large amount of requests for moss removal from shingles. We have tried the solution of trisodium phosphate, bleach and water but that just didn't work even with light brushing.

Today a customer told me about a product that he has heard good things about.

http://www.wetandforget.com

Of course the website promises miracle cleaning but I am a skeptic. Has anyone ever used this product?

Mike - I read everything on their website but you know how it is.... you just can't believe everything you read. The main reason I am/was skeptical is because it sounds too good to be true.

I should not have a problem convincing this customer to wait for results, after all, he waited long enough for the moss to grow.

We are not really trying to sell the service but for the first time I have had people asking for the moss to be removed. I guess it has a lot to do with the economy and people wanting to fix rather than replace. Trying to get more life out of what they have seems to be the path most people are taking right now.

Woody - I can see the difference and am quite impressed.

I am not familiar with the wet & forget product- but I have used a product called "Wash Safe Roof Wash"- it's active ingredient is Hydrogen peroxide- totally safe- you can run in through your dishwasher, pour it down the drain etc.,

safe on plants etc.

It worked very well, stephen
