Hey, Does anyone know anything about the hail in Oh and Ky today? I heard it was slush balls, but wanted to see if anyone heard different.
Thanks John
My rental home got hit with 1.75in mushy hail a couple years ago. It was big enough to put small dents in the gutters and metal static vents on the roof but not hard enough to show impact marks on a two year old roof. The aluminum siding on the other didn't fare as well. A couple hits on a couple sides bought half the house.
What I've learned with even small and or mushy hail is some adjuster will still buy roofs.
From my experiance some of the most damaging hail is small compact wind driven hail. Only saw hardi siding damaged once it was was caused by 1/2-3/4in hail pushed sideways by 70-80mph wind. There were dents between the gaps on the hardi shake siding. Have been told by a number of adjuster small wind driven hail can cause more damage than large straight down hail.
Our hail was slush......it was large but was splattering on impact!
