Last job I did before the snows hit hard

Thatched wood shingle roof and a shinny new copper standing seam roof with custom made snow guards. I have to go back in the spring and do the copper gutters. This is an addition. almost double the normal amount of squares installed on this roof.

I know the ones your are talking about. I lived not to far from there. I did a few slate roofs like that. Wish I had pictures.

Nice work. I like looking at them. There are a couple of slate roofs like that up on college hill in Easton.

Steamer and bend jig

The new addition did not have rolled eaves and rakes. They could not afford it. Original roof cost $225,000.00. We did not do it. The guy from florida did. Tie in was VERY timely and hard. Some boards had 5/6 rows nailed through them. once we got the top row out it got a little easier. We did have to bend some to patch the old roof. I made a steamer. I 'll try to find the pictures and upload them. Once we got going it was not to bad I think 4 weeks to do. There are 5 other copper roofs also. I have to remove all the copper gutter on the old part and clean off the caulk they used and solder them the correct way. there were 4 skylight in the old roof we took out. we used old boards to repair and you can't even see were they used to be.

That is organized chaos. How to bid a project like that....take normal price x 2? And then some??

There is a house around here w/ the rolled perimeter. We roofed it w/ 3-tab about 25 years ago. The house is now abandoned and about to sell for taxes. The roof is right at it's limit, going downhill quick. The deck repairs will be narsty if they wait much longer.
