Old School:

Yes, they are paying with someone else's money. Yours and Mine along with all the other homeowners that will be affected by using your insurance company to pay for a roof that isn't damaged, or was old and needed maintenance anyway.

We do our share of Insurance work because it gets referred out to us through past customers. However, I don't agree with MOST of the Stormers business models. I most certainly don't agree with using labor that isn't legal and not paying taxes to my Country. I don't want to pay taxes any more than the next guy, but that is what pays for my Freedom. I am willing to continue to live and work in the best Country and will do whatever it takes to make it a better place by doing my fair share.

Companies running illegally should be locked away and fined heavily. Profit is not a dirty word but using Illegals to make a profit is unethical in my viewpoint.

Insurance scams rank up there and make our industry look terrible. Companies should band together if they have a storm and talk with the news stations and not allow themselves to sink down to using an Illegal workforce. Local Police should have the right to ask those that don't speak English for a Green Card. I understand that America has never voted on one set language, but most Americans speak English. The schools teach English class as a requirement and Spanish-German-French-Japanese as secondary.

Just my viewpoints of Labor in our Workforce.

tico Said: Dont feel bad if you hire illegals. The biggest illegal labor force in construction is in the roofing trade. ESPECIALLY stormers. Thats just the way it is.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. ~Thomas Paine

It is our job as the Great/Legitimate contractors to educate the homeowners. If you have a storm in your area, it's better to join those around you and use the news channels against storm-troopers (Chasers). People have a right to know that they are part of the problem with using illegals as the work force. I hear the argument that the Stormers can make millions off of a storm. Most of them are broke 6 months after that storm. What a terrible business model! I have heard the Stormers tell homeowners that there isn't enough local workers in the area to serve the storm damage. What a bunch of nonsense. Most of the homes that I have looked at aren't even damaged.

I think that our immigration laws should change for the better. However, if you're in the country illegally you should be sent back using their money or placed in jail. The company that used the illegal work force should then have to pay all taxes, and in the second offense thrown in jail. Our Country runs on Taxes paid by companies, workers etc. It does not run on paying people under the table! Just my two cents

What got me started the spelling used for labor. I've understood the spelling as labour, "the people, class, or workers involved in this, esp in contrast to management, capital, etc." Childbirth. "labor" that's all. A cure could be putting a lime in a coconut and mix it all up. Or perhaps lemon grass tea.... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: A puppy?? egg when I think of you this vignette from the wizard of OZ comes to mind." Wizard of OZ, They have one thing you haven't got: a diploma. Therefore, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Universitartus Committiartum E Pluribus Unum, I hereby confer upon you the honorary degree of ThD. I know what he meant. I found it in definitions. The process by which childbirth occurs, beginning with contractions of the uterus and ending with the expulsion of the fetus or infant and the placenta. Ahh, anchor babies?? B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day

You can't possibly hire someone that is in our country working illegally... WTH

Hire a Legitimate contractor and I bet you save yourself money in the long run!

Or, come back on this forum in 6 months and tell us about your crappy workers that did a crappy job and ask US the professionals how to fix it.

We will tell you again, HIRE a Legit contractor.

If you want more information on how to hire the right fit for you give me an email.
