It is time for the Roofing Industry to evolve. 40 years after IBM introduced real-time processing in retail segments across the US the Roofing Industry still batch processes from handwritten data gathered from the field.
Game Changer. Chicago-Based Encite Development Group has introduced sales technologies that are expected to have a profound impact on the way roofing, and other services will operate in the future.

Old School Said: Interesting that they never show a roofer out working on the roof. Tech is great, but someone still has to go out and work on the damn things. It is hot and dangerous work. Now, if one of those computers could do the work, we would all be out of a job. Not to worry!LOL...we are working on FCSInstall app that can lay down Built-up, Single-ply, and Modified roofs :woohoo: J/K...You are right Old School, no technology will ever replace the hard work that roofers do. This technology stuff is just supposed to save you from the place where you do not make money (time at the office).
Oh I hear you CIAK. I have seen the so called "technology" that has been introduced to the service industry. To say the least it is outdated, clunky, and falls way short of what people have expected it to do. The system we created was developed over a 6 year period of time, and was done through a developmental partnership with a national roofing firm, that had boots-on-the0ground using our system, and helping us develop it through their feedback and input as to what roofers needed in order to truly make a system like this work. This is the most user friendly system that is out there. If you can operate a calculator, you can operate this system. Anyway I do appreciate the feedback from Deep Down In Florida, but i would just ask that you don't necessarily throw the baby out with the bath-water.
I will be the first to admit I love new technologies. Working with the latest equipment and estimating programs available today, I appreciate software hardware. There is no way I would be able to post this a few years back.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzLB4xAY10Y&feature=related Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day. The latest and greatest never seems to quite make it. The tech industry has done a great job with their marketing. They have convinced us all that their product or service can make us more productive, more profitable, and more agile. However, those companies don’t know your business like you do. Tinner and woody have nailed it for most of us here, IMO They cannot tell you if their product or service really helps you. That is up to you. So many of us see technology as this black box where few knows how it works, but people just assume it must be good. I'm speaking through experience not about this particular product. I still use a pencil and something to scratch on when I'm out. Works great for me. B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
tinner666: [ RE: It's Time For The Roofing Industry...to Evolve ] , Tuesday, July 26, 2011 @ 10:55 AM Neat. I'd probably pay $50.00 for one of those. Maybe.
My composition books cost $.25 each.
:woohoo: LOL!!!
Pricing varies based upon what modules you go with, there are 3 different one Inspect/Dispatch/and QwikBid. I will tell you we did a lot of research to see what was currently out there, and not only did we make sure to stand apart from all the software products, we also have stood apart with our pricing structures. I would encourage you to do the webinar tomorrow, or feel free to call me direct anytime:

I'll bite. How much does this cost? Does all the info route through FCS?

LOL...I will watch for the flying messenger :) It really is not just the roofing industry but rather the entire "Service" industry as a whole. When you look at the software and technology that has been available it is VERY outdated. I checked out quite a few programs and felt like I was back in the late 80's early 90's using DOS programs. FCS is going to change everything!!
