I wish I could find 10-12 of these to redo every week. I could live off these. Just remove it, replace shingles with holes, and and reinstall with one less shingle on top of the flange and be gone in 30-40 minutes.
B)
It would be hard to get repair jobs like this everyday, surely would be nice for a 1 man crew like me.
I did find two pix of the correct way of doing them, but the vents weren't the focus and one is so covered in dust, you can hardly tell the flange is identical on both sides, but it is.
Blow up the pic and you can see the tinner's wings on the front edge of the skylite and the cleats.
It's also hard to tell the front lip is cleated, not nailed. Since I was using aluminum, I carry the rear pans out farther to accomplish the bend and tinner's wings. Otherwise, the metal splits 3" from the corner every time.
You don't need 10-12 jobs. Just sale TWO of these per week. 7 vents x $350 each= $ 2,450 x 2 jobs per week = $4,900. Good enough?
Crazy. I can't find the pic of the reinstall. I must have d it or not saved it. And I can't find others for some reason. I did find another one that leaked as bad though. http://www.rooferscoffeeshop.com/rcs/users/tinner666/JackLeg Vent job..jpg
Here's another leaker though.
 Yep!
Looks like a $ 350.00 repair to me. B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
