Re: Old Home Week,
Got your email, yes I'm still alive and kicking, while I don't have the time to post and follow through I do pay the occasional visit to the RCS.

Hi Patty,
Feel free to stir away ye never know what can rise in ye olde cooking pot LOL
Hi Mike H,
Thinking of that article well it had to be right some time, what a pity they couldn't be more accurate with the timing :) of course with my luck any gains and I would be hauled up for insider trading LOL
On a serious note:
Has business in the USA been hit as hard as here?
I have traded through the previous recessions and worst I saw was we made enough to cover expenses, this time I see people with leaking roofs and heating systems that broke down and neither being repaired.
In the past it was the Government that was short of money now it's the average person with crazy high mortgages and credit card bills, write a cheque here and the supplier laughs at you :woohoo:
Later,
Peter.
"interesting times"
Now there's an understatement if I ever heard one.
Not only is it getting interesting with human kind, but the earth itself seems to be in turmoil.... which reminds me of oil... which reminds me of that article on "Peak Oil" you sent me some years ago, and I thought "ahhh, hogwash".
Yes indeed, things are uh gettin' interestin'..... which reminds me of Patty Cakes..... now there's an interesting study of it's own. LOL Sorry PC.
Hi Mike H,
Yes still on my "Eco Trip" LOL, a big advantage of my roofing knowledge is fitting solar systems for heating water.
Even better is the repair work the plumbers leave behind on roofs honestly most of them haven't a clue about how to prevent water leaking past the mounting brackets, a very good add on for roofers especially in the commercial sector.
Hi Patty,
Ireland is still afloat with the help of the IMF LOL some fool bankers lent another load of fools more money than they could ever repay.
Thankfully I didn't borrow and still in business, rising oil prices mean my sector is in demand, of course I can still fall back on the old reliable roofing trade if I have to.
We are living in interesting times ;)
Honey, it's good to see ya.
Still into alternative heat?
