I am trying to decide on Gutters in central New Jersey- Half Round galvanized would fit the converted barn/home best. But three questions 1.Is half round good at catching water off of a 40'wide x 35' foot roof with a 10/12 pitch with the gutters on the 40' and with two downspouts on each side. or are 6" k's the best bet. and 2. does the the galvanized really not last as long as aluminum? and 3.can i really seal the joints well enough so they won't leak so that i don't need seamless aluminum Thanks

Either will work fine in 6". Choice may depend on the fascia, and/or attachmnet options. and 2. does the the galvanized really not last as long as aluminum? No, it doesn't. and 3.can i really seal the joints well enough so they wont leak so that i dont need seamless aluminum. You can seal it if you are good at soldering. If not, forget it. When it starts rusting, or even before, the joints will shortly follow. Thanks
