If running water doesn't reveal the exact location of the leak, donate be timid. Start removing shingles in the suspect area. With them removed, they'll be evidence of the leak and you'll be able to track it down right to the source. You'll see discolored felt paper or water-stained or even rotted wood directly below and around it.

I am suspicious about herlin wilson. I think it's a plant designed to eventually plug whatever he's selling.

I had gone through the posts. From a few days onwards, I am facing a problem with water leakage at the top of home roof. Where can I find the best details about the roof repairing services ? Please provide me details. Any kind of information is greatly accepted...

Estimate ? I'm not touching the roof. I've been doing it long enough that I will have a list of what the cause of the problem is in a probability order and will give the price accordingly.

repair? I will start going down that list until I get it. most likely its the first one or two.

Now, depending on the leak, where it is, where its running in the house, whats on the roof , etc. will determine if I do as you described.

OLE Willie

Are you telling us to make the clients roof leak again on a perfectly good sunny day and while doing an estimate we should start tearing into the roof? What if they don't hire you?

Why don't you try learning and knowing all the things that cause leaks and all the solutions that fix them.

That way you could just find a reference point inside the home such as a window edge or maybe from a point in the attic, take a quick measurement, then do the same on the roof. At that point you will be standing right on top of the leak.

I'm going to have to try that on my next repair. I can't understand why I've never thought of that. Can I donate and be timid too?
