The last thing I said before I did it was "dont do that, David". Jerked on something which came loose causing the back of my hand to hit the powervent flange that meets the roof. Cut two tendons and bled all over the roof. That was 4 weeks ago, had surgery 3 weeks ago. Found out it was infected a week ago and then just had the surgery again today. I'm useless at work, it was my right hand
No gardening, or building a greenhouse as planned, or fixing up my two 71 vw's to sale. Guess I'm stuck just trying to improve on my sales tactics. I already get 40%+ of my bids though.
What makes it worse is that my 2nd best guy damaged his wrist about 2 weeks before my injury at work(debatable, but I'm not fighting it) so our labor force is a bit hurt. We have our first vertical seam metal roof and a sweet TPO roof that we were about to do right before the accident. Me and the other hurt guy are our main welders. Also had a 9 year VERY good hand leave 3 months ago to fill a great opportunity in his family recycling business. Good roofers like these guys can't be hired around here, and if so they don't work like us.
Six more weeks in the splint! Oh well could be worse. Been working on my web presence. So, how are you all doin??
edit: I changed my forum name. I went through an ID crisis. This is my old screen name from my gaming days. Didn't think it was a good nick for roofing sites but I hated DdubyaC after I thought about it.
Yea, I sensed your generosity but it wasn't quite obvious in my reply. Thanks for that!
I'm going to have the ol' lady look this over. She quit her job when she got pregnant so we are still on the lookout for self-reliant gigs.
flatbed Said: MikeH: That company is kind of interesting, but I sure dont care for the minimum monthly buy. Thanks for the offer, Im going to give this a couple of days, its draining pretty well now.
I was just gonna send ya some if ya needed it. Had no intention of bringing up business.
But FWIW, since ya did, it's great stuff, and the minimum buy thing is not a requirement for anyone other than those that want to work the business side of it and collect commissions. I had no intention of working the business, and for the most part don't outside of favors for others, but it's grown like wildfire anyway, just because of people sharing their successes. Even cured my dad of cancer. "Does Frankinsence cure cancer"...From BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8505251.stm My dad is living proof that it does.
I know if I had to cut my order to the minimum these days, I'd go into withdrawal. LOL

Willie: I cut myself on the flat flange that meets the roof. The darn thing shocked me about it a minute before hand. The homeowner said he thought it was disconnected, although I treated it as it was still live. It was, I think all the sweat on me helped it catch me. So then I was nice and agitated, gave a little tug on something, and SLICE.
I did that install yesterday morning. The existing fan had curled metal under the fan top and was not sharp at all.
The new one however was like a razor.
Some essential oils, like Melaluca actually have been proven to kill MERSA and other staph bacteria.
You won't get it at a hospital because it's not a patented drug.
I've treated a few infections successfully, and know of others personnaly. If you continue to have trouble get in touch with me at MikeAtHRI@aol.com and I'll send you some.
I don't know how the power fan companies get away with continuing to make the friggin edges of the fans sharp like a razor blade.
I was installing one for a client and before I could see what he was doing, he had pulled the fan out of the box to have a look at it and it cut his hand pretty deep.
One would think these things could easily be made with non sharp edges under the fan top.
Somebody needs to sue their arses off. Maybe you?
I have to leave in 30 minutes to go install one. I think I will wear some thick gloves! :S
:( Been there, done that. More then once and I still haven't learned! :woohoo:
