You guys never stop amazing me...thanks for the info!

I have spent 15 years roofing residential homes and I have never in my life used the term reglet. I had to google it.

Am I correct in assuming reglets come in all styles and shapes? Is a reglet only>>>

Although my personal preference would be your way, I have done the straight version on a Red Roof Inn. Went through a lot of saw blades.

You might consider cutting the counter flashing into smaller lengths, 3'-4', to prevent buckling.>>>

Used a tile saw to cut straight line around the chimney, lots of brick dust and makes a dirty mess on a brand new roof...make the cuts on the t/off phase

That will work just fine. If you di it that way, just make sure and bned the top of the metal that you insert into the cut joint with about an 1/4 inch reverse bend as far as the break will bend it. When you drive it into the reglet it will bite like a>>>
