Hello All, I am new to this site but wanted to let everyone know about supplementing roofs for all you xactimate users out there. Xactimate has a line item for cold weather application which insurance companies are accepting. It helps supplement the claim and it ensures the job is done properly during the colder months. Does any one else have any great xactimate tips?
I thought cutup was the technical term?? Maybe just for us Illinoisan's & Indiana-ites(?)
CIAK: Care to comment about the cold weather application being a legitimate paying line item? Also, I never did quite get the percentage of waste covering a cutup roof. Doesn't seem very scientific, but each roof is different so it's hard to explain my charge sometimes. On occasion I'll break it down by any plane 1-4 squares or less.
Tom Cut up as I interpret your reply, difficult angles and many and varied slopes opposed to a straight gable or hip. If the interpretation is correct x-actamate Includes this in an additional waste and material section. B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
Vaa, I've had agents 'dictate My price' before. I just asked, "That's what you're paying?" "Yep!" I'd just say "OK." and leave. Dang if they wouldn't call weeks later and ask when I was starting?????
I just say what they're paying isn't what I'm getting, so I just assumed you were personally going to do the job, and then they'd get it. If they asked for a reinspection, I'd raise the price another 20%. That's when they'd decide to pay.
