Are there any special considerations for curving standing seam panels? 

According to AEP Span: 

This depends on the manufacturer and panel profile. Generally, mechanically seamed panels that are rolled into the clip have less of an ability to be curved, as compared to batten-style panels that snap and lock. Batten-style panels can be curved to quite tight radiuses, whereas mechanical seam panels can be curved on a much larger radius. AEP Span offers both types of roofing panels; batten-style and mechanically seamed panels.
